Senior Web Architect
Responsibilities:
As a PHP/MySQL Architect, you will be responsible for designing effective technology solutions to address current business needs. Develop application frameworks to facilitate design goals and solution delivery. You will research new technologies for applicability to Asurion. Design customer facing web solutions based on business requirements and develop web applications using modern web development tools. You will design and develop data models and support production of web and portal environments. You will develop an environment that facilitates rapid deployment and live A/B testing. In addition you will define and develop appropriate metrics to monitor and analyze the performance of the production environment.
Qualifications:
5+ years developing dynamic web-based applications in PHP and MySQL.
Extreme fluency in: XHTML/CSS, HTML, AJAX, Javascript and in PHP 4 and above
MySQL or Postgres guru. Familiarity with stored procedures, stored functions, and triggers
Solid working knowledge of Unix and Apache
Familiarly with Eclipse, Dreamweaver, Flash and Flex a plus.
Ability to code in text based editors, separate from WYSIWYG editors
Experience with website design as well as web-based front-end user interface (UI) design
Ability to take standards compliant XHTML/CSS and deliver dynamic, cross browser, scalable, highly available web applications
Strong understanding of web technologies, including the ability to architect and refactor for performance and function
Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis
High-level experience utilizing Flash, UI layout and design
Experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment
Operate within the framework of an AGILE project paradigm
Candidates should have at least a BS in Computer Science or a related field - but we make exceptions for candidates that show significant depth of knowledge and experience
