I wanted to post to introduce myself to everyone and express my excitement about finding such a community so close and with the same love of programming as myself.

First off let me say that I have about 12 years of experience in web design with my main love being graphic design.

Within the past couple of years I have (thanks to a small group of designers and friends across the country) come to find PHP/SQL as my preferred method of creating dynamic yet visually striking web environments.

As many other people out there have probably also delt with, I find myself surrounded by people who have no clue what I'm talking about when the answer to the question "So what do you do?" is answered with "I write PHP".

So to find a group of like-minded programmers and designers so close to home gives me a feeling of not being so alone in an area where most people don't understand what I do much less share in my love for it.

I would like to offer what knowledge and experience I have to help anyone who is, as I was, on their own to figure it out alone.
